Everest Base Camp

via The Three Pass Trek

In the Spring of 2019 I was on a journey around the globe to adventure to new locations that I had always dreamed about. Nepal was the second stop on that around-the-world dream tour. I was fresh out of Patagonia when I linked up with my guide on the dusty streets of Kathmandu. He helped arrange accomadation at the huts in the Everest Region, all internal flights from Kathmandu to Lukla and back, and of course permits needed for the region. The trek took us to: Lukla, Namche, Renjo Pass, Gokyo, Gokyo Peak, Cho La Pass, Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar, but sadly had to skip Kongma La Pass because of avalanche risk. The Everest region is a powerful place where I met some amazing people, and definitely didn’t want to leave. I had to constantly remind myself of how lucky I was to see these world famous peaks with my own eyes.
